“The works of repairing a 220 kilowatt cable of a transformer that was located in the non nuclear part of the structure were successfully implemented”, a communiqué company announced.
Reactor number 2 of the Beznau plant, located in the Aregau canton, near the border with the German, was linked to the electricity network.
In reverse, the number 1 reactor has been down since March 2015 due to technical reasons.
In service since 1969, Beznau is the oldest nuclear power plant in the world since the closure of the Oldsbury reactor in Great Britain in 2012.
Switzerland numbers four power plants that produce about a third of the country's electricity.
On 21 May, the Swiss chose nuclear power removal over the medium term by voting in the referendum to 58.2 per cent.
