Nicolas Maduro Guerra, son of Venezuela's president, threatened to take the White House with weapons if Donald Trump sends the army to his country.
The White House has condemned President Nicolas Maduro's regime for human rights violations, something confirmed by more than 120 people killed in protests since April.
Asked by the media what to do with Venezuela, Trump said people are suffering and dying there, so he has not ruled out the military option. This prompted the reaction of many politicians in Venezuela, among whom the threat of Maduro's son was spotted, although the latter does not seem to know where the White House is.
If our country is violated, the guns will arrive in New York. Mr. Trump, we'll come and get the White House”, Nicolas Maduro Guerra said.
The Trump administration imposed sanctions on Venezuela after President Maduro replaced the opposition-controlled Parliament with its constitutional assembly. Protests that have been continuing in Venezuela for months have been significantly exacerbated after this move by Maduro, sinking the Latin country more and more into chaos.
