US President Donald Trump insists that his support is stronger than ever, despite a announcement that some republics are seeing opportunities for him not to run for the 2020 presidential elections.
In a commentary on Twitter today, the president wrote that “base Trump is much bigger and stronger than ever before, despite false media polls”.
Trump specifically criticised what he named “the failure of the New York Times”.
In a letter to this newspaper, it describes efforts that, according to her, are being made by some Republicans for the 2020 presidential race, including a run by Vice President Mike Pence. Mr. Pence himself rejected the news as a lie.
Through a statement, the Pence said the “news published in the New York Times under which he's developing a shadowy fushare is shameful and insulting”. / VoA
