Zanele Hlatschwayo, 25, is thought to be the murdered and cut before her meat between several neighbours at a disassembled saga in Estcort, a town in the UThukela district of the KwaZulu-Natal province, broadcasts Indexline.
More than 300 people in surrounding villages have so far acknowledged that it is normal to eat human flesh, and eight human ears have been found in a cooking pot in one of the arrested.
Many of the villagers have gone to the police to report to their missing relatives and friends, fearing that there may be many victims.
Now, Hlatschwayo's mother, Philistine, is now afraid of the worst after the police showed her some of the clothes left over from her lifeless body and suspected to be her daughter's.
