South Korean President Moon Yae has asked the United States to help prevent a war on the Korean peninsula. At his meeting with US General Joseph Dunford, Moon sought a diplomatic solution to the crisis. According to Dunford, this is the top priority of the United States, but neither is the military option excluded.
South Korean President Moon Jae has asked American allies to help prevent a war, while tensions over the nuclear threat from North Korea escalate.
Moon told US Army General Joseph Dunford there must be a diplomatic solution to the crisis.
He urged the North to stop hostile provocations and rhetoric, as a war on the peninsula, such as that of 1950-1953, cost the lives of millions and divided the peninsula. Meanwhile, the U.S. Army's top official said the priority of the United States remained diplomacy, but could not be excluded from preparing military options if sanctions against the North fail.
Peninnah again threatened to say that any war could turn into a nuclear war. This statement prompted a ban order on the part of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce for several imports from North Korea, in syncing with UN sanctions announced earlier this month.
Pennian's latest nuclear trials prompted President Donald Trump to warn of a furious response to North Korea. According to him, the United States is ready for war after threats that the North would attack Guam's American territory. The harsh rhetoric used by both sides has led to an escalation of tension in the region.
