Albania's Defence Minister, Mimi Kodeli, has said the situation of fires in the country is dramatic because of the climate situation with high temperatures and lack of rainfall.
“is the dramatic situation not only for Albania but for Europe as a whole. The climate situation is out of normal because of extremely high temperatures and almost inextinent rainfall. The Ministry of Defence and the government are being fully committed to coping with this” situation, Kodeli has said, reports “TCH”
The Council has added that <x0 operations have been developed into nine circuits and 2750 forces or 1/3 of all our armed force” are engaged. “This difficult situation has caused powerful countries like France and Portugal to seek help. I call on all citizens to contribute to coping. I also urge them not to create the situation. Operations cost over 30 million dollars, which is money for taxpayers. We have to guard the trees and the pasture, so please add assistance to”, Minister Kodheli said.
