“Better with Ramush in Government than in opposition”

List Srpska, the largest Serbian political subject in Kosovo, which has 9 deputies in the Kosovo Parliament, does not want to go into opposition even if the mandate for forming the Kosovo government, Ramush Haradinaj, does not respect the requirements of this List as a condition to be part of the Government, the Voice newspaper writes today. The newspaper [...]
Belgrade's “newspaper Blic” has written, as they convey local Serbian media to the north of Mitrovica, about what the Serbian List might require from Haradinaj and what its going into opposition would mean. According to this newspaper, it will be much better for the Serbian List to be part of Ramush Haradinaj's government, even if all demands are not met than its going into opposition.
“The Serbian List's participation in Kosovo's new government would enable that institutionally and more successfully fight for its own interests, even if they -- the representatives of this list -- were labeled Haradinaj Serbs. The failure to support the so-called War Coalition would push Serbian representatives into opposition, which would continue to marginalise the Serbian people”, the paper estimates.
However, according to “Blic”, the support of the Serbian List given to the “war coalition”, whose candidate for Kosovo prime minister is Ramush Haradinaj, will depend on how much coalition will be able to create a majority in the Kosovo Assembly, which currently lacks only one MP to win the simple majority of 61 MPs.
