Police identify 11 suspected vehicles for avoidance of customs duties

Mitrovica police make it known that the regional auto-crime unit, under the Regional Directorate in Mitrovica, has conducted a search at a location, where mostly the activity of selling auto parts has been exercised.

Police actions were undertaken in accordance with authorisations, including authorisation by Mitrovica's Founding Prosecutor, with what case control has been carried out in the Vushtrri area, at one of the depots where the activities of car parts are being dismantled and sold.

Police investigators on allegations raised by car users have received the relevant documentation of each car, once required by customs authorities to specify the data for each car. From customs authorities it is reported that the documentation of 11 cars has resulted in alleged avoidance of customs duties, whose value exceeds over 17 thousand euros.

All actions have been announced by the prosecutor of the case, which has suggested that a procedure for criminal acts of customs duties be initiated against the owner of the warehouse.
