As the day for surrender of candidate lists for mayors -- which was scheduled to be on August 22nd -- approaches, it is worth noting that the LDK's PDK have yet to come up with candidates for capital chairmanship.
Even though these two parties have mounted a tough campaign against Vetevendosje Movement, which already has Shpend Ahmeti as Pristina chairman again, rival parties have not yet submitted Ahmeti's counter-Candidists.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo had held several weeks in a row media conference, where some of the violations they say Shpend Ahmeti made them in Pristina during the government it had.
Neither has the Democratic League of Kosovo dated the Pristina chairmanial candidate, but they say they have some names, but that they have not yet decided who they will compete with.
The LDK's Asembilist in Pristina, Agim Gashi, has said they have four names for the Pristina chairmanship candidate, but the party has decided to make the decision public on Monday, the previous day of handing over candidate lists for local elections.
Gashi has indicated that the LDK will decide in the midst of Vjosa Osman, Lumir Abdixhik, Arba Abrash and Ismet Beqiri.
