Five people, including two teenage girls, have died and more than 30 others have been injured as a result of falling trees in a series of storms that have hit Poland overnight.
The scout girls, aged 13 and 14, were hit by trees that had blown the strong wind while sleeping in the tent when the storm hit Mount Tuchola on Friday in northern Poland, broadcast Express.
About 20 other scouts have been injured and taken to the hospital.
Adam Kralisz, chairman of the Lodz region from the Sacks Association of the Republic of Poland, where the scouts came from, told private Pollas television that the evacuation was immediately ordered, but the conditions were terrible.
Three others also died as a result of the fall of trees, and another 10 were injured in separate incidents in northern Poland.
