Due to disrespecting the recommendation for protecting workers from hot weather, Macedonia's State Labour Inspectorate has imposed considerable material penalties on 84 private companies.
According to one report, 207 inspections have been conducted from 4 August to 6 August, and 84 companies have been found to have not maintained an open work ban from 11 to 17.
Inspectors have visited employers from construction, agriculture, waste, services, as well as textile companies, Alsatm quoted.
The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy calls on employers to provide climateization in closed spaces, to practice double shifts, to have more frequent holidays, and to regularly consume on the part of employees. Controls will continue in the future.
