I news agency SISCHAit, Aamaq, has reported that the notorious group is behind the attack on the Spanish city today.
Catalan police have officially confirmed that as a result of the terrorist attack on Barcelona, 13 people have been killed and 50 others have been wounded.
The heavy event took place in the afternoon in Las Ramblas, one of the most frequent areas in the city center. Shortly after the attack, the police said it was a terrorist act.
Two people have been arrested in connection with the attack. One of them has been identified.
