Insect burgers market in this country

The second largest supermarket network in Switzerland has announced it will sell insect burgers starting next week.

Products, which will be produced by Essento, will be available in Geneva, Bern and Zurich.

Switzerland thus becomes the first European country to authorize the sale of insect - based foods to humans.

In May, food laws in Switzerland were changed so that the sale of food containing crickets, locusts, and worms was allowed.
