Acting Finance Minister Agim Krasniqi has today held a meeting with representative of the International Monetary Fund for Kosovo, Ruud Vermeulen.
Krasniqi and Vermeulen shared the common concern that the delay in constitutionalising new institutions is causing challenges in continuing the necessary fiscal reforms, including reform of war veterans' profitable schemes.
During the meeting, Krasniqi stressed the Ministry of Finance's commitment to meeting Kosovo's obligations as an IMF member to promote macro-financial stability.
In this direction, he assured the IMF representative that the Finance Ministry continues to monitor the execution of budgetary expenditures on daily grounds to improve the high level of fiscal discipline. /Kosovo pres/
