At the Court of Appeals today, complaints filed by the parties over the first degree court were addressed, under which Berisha was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
My eyes have been blind for two years. Four orphans left me.
During the hearing, lawyer Fehmie Gashi-Bytyqi, representative of the damaged family, cleared her complaint to the act pronounced by the Prizren Court.
“There has not occurred a stab, two, but there have been 24 hits, including the body of the late Zeynep and Elona's wet body, which has fallen on her mother. He has not been aware of the moment when, according to Elona's statement, the same one listens to his mother praying to her husband '%Aman not to see me. This is a brutal murder that I don't know in any practice of the world that happened and saved the perpetrators with such a low sentence”, said lawyer Gashi-Bytyqi.
The lawyer further stressed that for this criminal offence with the new Penal Code, the sentence of life in prison is provided.
After the lawyer, the word went to Zeynep's mother, who in this process is considered a damaged party.
With tears in her eyes, 83-year-old told of her daughter's suffering.
It's been 16 years since I've had gasp chica, so I don't know if it's gone, or if it's gone, or if it's gone, or if there's no reason to come to me, or if there's no chance that the victim's mother.
The complaint against first degree bias has also brought before the defender of the accused.
Lawyer Esat Gutaj demanded that his client be sent to permanent neuropsytric treatment or otherwise the case be turned into retrial.
This one needs neuropsytric treatment, not punishment, because people who are not responsible for their actions have no place in prison”, Gutaj said.
Meanwhile, accused Negoti Berisha backed his defence attorney's word and had nothing to add.
After the hearing, activists participating in the “protest Justice for Zeynep” criticised the defendant's defence lawyer and brother.
I'm gonna have to see you. I'm coming from Italy with my nana, and I'm on my wheel. Prior to that, nothing further away from me has failed to do with a non-x1>, Berisha said.
The protest was organised by the Kosovo Women's Network, which has signed an agreement with the Balkan Network for Investigative Journalisation for monitoring gender-based violence cases.
