The European Union has called on political parties in Kosovo to form institutions as soon as possible.

Officials from the EU in an answer to the UN in Indexline say Kosovo has no time to lose, so as soon as possible to meet the Assembly and parties respond to this call.

“We are waiting for the formation of Government in Kosovo. The state of Kosovo has no time to lose. We call on the Assembly to be constitutionalised as soon as possible and for parliamentary parties to act more responsiblely and to fulfil obligations that are defined with the Constitutions and Law” is said in the EU's response to Indexline.

The EU has reiterated once again the ratification of the demarcation agreement.

According to the EU, the new government will have to address this issue immediately, which is the main requirement for Kosovo citizens to be free.

“on April 25th Commissioner Avramopoulos met with Prime Minister Mustafa to discuss the final steps needed to meet the remaining visa liberalisation requirements for Kosovo. It will now be for Kosovo's new government and Parliament to meet its people's expectations” is said in the EU's response.

Further in their response, the EU has listed some of the tasks the new government must commit immediately.

“We expect the new government to work immediately towards reforms related to rule of law and the economy, to offer visa liberalisation and to engage constructively in dialogue with Serbia. All this is crucial for Kosovo to make progress on its European path” is said in the EU's response.
The EU has also cited fighting crime and corruption as the key factor for Kosovo's EU integration.

Political parties have not yet managed to find a compromise to establish institutions.

Several hearings have been held, but in the absence of PAN, the coalition that has emerged with the most votes has ended without being elected mayor and chairmanship.
The EU expects parties to form government as soon as possible. Let's see if the political parties will respond to this call, which is once determining Kosovo's path towards the EU./Indesksonline/L. TH
