Erdogan Says They Will Never Allow Creation of a Kurdish State

Turkey will never allow Kurdish militias, whom it considers terrorists, to create a Kurdish state in northern Syria, Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan declared today. “
“We will never allow and will never allow the creation of a so-called State from the PYD, YPG in northern Syria”, Erdogan confirmed in Ankara.
Turkey considers the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) and its armed branch, the Units for the Protection of Kurdish People (YPG), as an aura in Syria of the Turkish Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), classified as a terrorist organisation by Ankara and Western allies.
The PYD announced in 2016 a semi-autonom administration north of Syria, follows Atish.
The US is an ally of the YPG in their fight against the Islamic State and supplies them with weapons, at the expense of Turkey, who fears the creation of a zone of control by Kurds in its area.
