Delay in establishing institutions risks negatively affecting the country's economic development indicators. After the loss of a 15-million-euro loan to the International Monetary Fund, the lack of Parliament and Government, in the absence of passing certain legal changes, is hampering several other projects of importance to the economy, writes today “Koha Ditore”.
The non-compliance of the legislature and the executive has so far caused no review of the 2017 budget. Former Finance Minister Avdullah Hoti, in an earlier proposal for the paper, has said more than 112m euros before were needed to be relocked with this year's budget review.
This makes it difficult to provide tools for several projects, such as the Pristina- Hani-Elez Highway, for which funds are meant to be obtained by the AKP, but because change of the AKP Law is needed, this has not been possible.
