The blockade between neighbours and BICS (Brazili, Russia, India, China and South Africa) began on June 18th, when Indian troops were sent to the strategic Doklam Valley, which separates India from Butani.
Officials from New Delhi said the move was necessary to curb the construction of Chinese roads in the Himalayan Plateau, which according to India, violates the status quo, Russia Today” reported.
Beijing, who sees Doklam é, or as he calls it, a part of Chinese territory has accused India of violating an internationally recognised border.
It's been a month since the incident exploded. Indian border troops still stand illegally in Chinese territory. Furthermore, the Indian side is building roads, amassing supplies and placing a large number of armed forces on the Indian side of border”, China Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said.
This has nothing to do with peace”, Geng stressed, quoted by China's Xinhua news agency. He further declared that India seeks to escalate the situation in Doklam.
The newspaper “Times of India” further reports that the Indian Army currently has about 8,500 soldiers stationed on its side of the border and on the outside of the disputed area./Periscopi/
