Disatisfaction can erupt, 33 thousand veterans without pay

The large number of war veterans has been discussed today at the Government meeting.

Labour and Social Management Minister Safet Kamberi expressed concern over the veterans' payment.

According to Kamberi, there is a lack of resources in many of the 4m euros this month.

“So far we have not been able to pay pensions for 33 thousand and 141 beneficiaries of this pension, because the Kosovo Assembly cannot do the budget revision. I ask your help to jointly find a solution to this task”, Kamber said.

The prime minister in office said they have a meeting today with veterans' representatives. According to him, they're guilty of the situation they're in because it's a budget review problem.

All legal options will be addressed. But what's certain is that veterans will not lose pensions but can only be prolonged, put off their dues”, Mustafa said. He said it is not right for individuals and families to which it is due to pay the cost of blocking the institution of the Republic of Kosovo's institutions.
