The agreement with Albanians, he said, would be possible only after Serbia's entry into the European Union.
Serbian politician in an interview for television N1 recalled that he backed President Aleksandar Vuciq's idea of internal dialogue on Kosovo and urged him to be more persistent than his predecessors Boris Tadic and Vojislav Kostunica.
The first “were not persistent. That's not good. You should have all the time in this world, it's all about identity, to the question of our future. Vuciq should open serious debates”, he said.
The SDP leader recalls that in 2006 he proposed a Cypriot model for Kosovo, not as a status model, but as a model of conflict resolution.
According to him, it is not a frozen “conflict”, as claimed by President Vuciq, adding that such a model, except in the Cyprus case, has also been applied to the EU in the case of the United Kingdom. Both Cyprus, which has been admitted to membership with unresolved status on the northern part of the island, and Britain has become an EU member until the Northern Ireland issue has yet to be resolved.
Therefore, Ivanovic believes Serbia should also be accepted in the EU as a comprehensive country, along with Kosovo, broadcasts the Kosovo Clan.
