CEC warns quick certificate of election participants

Less than two months remain, when the country's citizens will turn to ballot boxes to elect their local representatives. They will vote for mayor, as well as for the municipal assembly.

Political parties, civic initiatives, but also very independent candidates have applied for participation in elections for what the Central Election Commission is considering.

“We are in the screening phase of the applications and we believe that very soon we will start with the Certificate of Political Subjects and Candidates for participating in the 22 October” Local Elections, Central Election Commission spokesman Valmir Elezi has said of Indexline.

Otherwise, the election campaign for local elections in the country is expected to last a month.

The CEC has previously declared itself ready to realise these elections and the necessary development of all procedures for maintaining and proceeding all results.

Local elections come a few months after national elections, which has not yet resulted in the formation of leading institutions.
