2012 Asteroid The TC4, with dimensions between 15 and 30 metres, will pass 44,000 miles [4,000 km] near the Earth.
Its passage near our planet will be a good opportunity for astronomers to have more knowledge of it, the European Space Agency has announced.
When it was discovered in 2012, scientists had declared that because of the vast orbit of the asteroid, they would not be able to follow its journey for five years and were not sure at which distance earth would approach.
Scientists say that the asteroid of this size, if it were to enter the Earth's atmosphere, would produce the same effect that the meteor, which had fallen to Chelybinski in February 2013.
