The Albanian language to use in communication between Macedonia and other countries and international organisations has called for DUI leader Ali Ahmeti.
He says the law on the use of languages that should be voted into Macedonia's Parliament by the end of September is the product of compromise, but in the future, the very use of Albanian in international use is the question expected to be opened.
The Ohrid Agreement. In language, for example, in international communication, Albanian is discriminated against. Why should Albanian not be considered equal in international communication? Why should Albanian be prohibited outside Macedonia's borders? These are the questions that can be opened and discussed.”, Ahmeti said, in an interview for the post.mk portal.
Otherwise, for the realisation of these requirements that DUI leader Ali Ahmeti is presenting, constitutional changes are needed because for now, according to the Constitution of Macedonia, the only language that can be used in international communication is the Macedonian language.
