About 150 Albanians return for 24 hours

Returned Albanians are mainly from EU countries such as Germany and France, who had sought asylum for economic and health motives.

According to State Police, 1557 citizens have been repatriated, of these 131 have returned from Germany, and 26 from France.

“Frontex in co-operation with the State Police, French and German police have organised three charter flights to repatriate Albanian citizens who had sought asylum at these locations”, the Kosovo Press report reported.

According to this institution, additional measures taken at the beginning of August have brought a decline in citizens seeking to go to EU countries with the goal of seeking asylum.

The EU's “State Police call on all those who try or try to find different ways, not to fall prey to fraud, not to make vain expenses, as the chances for asylum in EU countries are zero”, stressed in the appeal of the State Police to Albanian citizens.
