The co-existence and good reports of Albanians with Serbs living in Switzerland should serve as a model for Kosovo and Serbia has said Serbia's President, Aleksandar Vuciq, in an interview for the Swiss daily “Blic”.

In this interview, Vuciq has said he will open a new chapter for Serbia, which means finding a solution to the problem with Kosovo.

Asked about the meaning of his speech at the Inauguration as president, where Vucic had said Serbia should be cut off from its myths, Vuciq said he wants a new and reformed Serbia.

It's easy to say, go and fight in Kosovo! But this thinking has always led us to war. I want a new road to Serbia. I want to open fair and correct discussions about resolving the Kosovo conflict. Even if Serbs are not ready yet I will not give up. This debate will have healing effects for all of us, whether or not we achieve a good”, Vuciq said about Blick.

Furthermore, he has said this dialogue would have no good result if both sides are not willing to lose anything.

If both sides are unwilling to lose something, there will be no good result and the conflict will last forever. That would harm both sides. I believe I am the right person for this dialogue. Do you know why? I've been the youngest deputy, minister and prime minister, and now I'm the youngest president. I no longer have personal ambitions”, he said.

Asked what Serbs are able to give up on resolving Kosovo's problem, he has refused to speak publicly.

“We are willing to find a good compromise and make progress. This issue should eventually be resolved and better done now than after 100 years”, he said.
