Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq has met European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker, with whom they have talked about Serbia's integration into the European Union.
Meanwhile, he has said Serbia is not seeking to deny in March and wave the Serbian flag there, but is only seeking membership in the European Union.
European Commission President Juncker has “clearly confirmed that the European goal is inevitable for Serbia”. So it was quoted in the statement report issued by the president's office.
Vucic has invited Juncker to visit Serbia and stressed that Serbia has since 2000 “besson to co-operate with the European Union but that much time has passed since then”.
Serbia will continue to work on European integration, but we want this process to be completed”, Vucic said.
Vucic, who represents the Serbian delegation at the session of the Supreme Council for Co-operation between Serbia and Greece, was present in Thessalonici, where he discussed with Juncker, Serbia will also on Friday meet with European Union President Donald Tusk on the “European perspective of our country”, repeating that “is clearly ready to enter this” structure.
I'm going to Brussels from here, I'm having a lunch meeting with Tusk tomorrow. It's a good opportunity to discuss issues that we have a line with Europe”.
He also faced criticism when he had criticised the media earlier, saying that <x0Media is not the best in Europe”. “That's enough when the British and American media are viewed. I don't speak beautifully of Europe which should actually be the opposite. In this case the media treat me badly. I think this evidence of democracy in Serbia is not a problem”.
“at the beginning of the 2012-2013 mandate, we've had a much worse situation with respect to human rights and freedom of the media, when everything was under the hand of the same people who held everything, and everything was also good if he did something about Kosovo. If there was no progress on the Kosovo issue, from their point of view, suddenly nothing was good, “he said.
“Kosovo is hiding behind changes regarding chapters 23 and 24. If everything was right about Kosovo, we would be champions when the “human rights --” -- but we are waiting to see what will happen in Kosovo, but openly tell us what we should do and from where, ” said Vucic.
“We have no choice, we are on the European road and it would be fair for citizens to know when it can come (membership in the European Union),” said Vucic.
According to him, questions such as Serbia was “conflict with others”, but required respect and treatment the same as other countries. He added that Serbia was ready for the EU, while Bulgaria and Romania were in 2007.
Vuciq, meanwhile, has made a statement saying Serbia is not seeking to go to Mars and set up Serbia's flag.
We're asking a human question and we're expecting the same answer. I don't know why they're so surprised that we're looking to go to Mars and put our flag there. Those of you who are more advanced can go there, we'll look at a new Neil Armstrong, quoted as saying Vuciq. /Periscopi/
