Pensions of about 10,000 KLA veterans will be questioned this month.
It is not sure if they will receive them on July 24th, day when the Labour Ministry releases pensions for all categories in the country. 5.5m euros is the monthly amount this minister allocates to pensioners, unemployed KLA fighters, which this month their number has amounted to nothing less than 32, 500 Sosh, as more than 500 new veterans have increased in 15 days, KTV reports.
But only 4m euros are available, so another 1.5m euros are missing.
Labour and Social Management Ministry Secretary Izedin Bytyqi has acknowledged the fact that they still do not know where this money will be received, as Kosovo still does not have a functional location that will make budget reviews.
He has said he has been counting on the finance ministry that will find solutions for at least July, warning the delay in issuing these pensions for this month.
However, the Ministry of Finance did not give us accurate answers to whether he could find this money or not.
Problems with veterans' pensions have also been warned by outgoing Finance Minister Avdullah Hoti, at the latest meeting of the Government, where he has admitted they are at minus 24m euros for this category.
