Yildirim made these comments at an event in Nicosia, which was broadcast live on Turkish television.
Last week, Turkey sent two ships and a submarine to oversee a ship carrying out military exercises east of the Mediterranean Sea.
Ankara has said it will take measures against Cyprus because of its commitment to exploration of gas and oil around the island. According to her, hydrocarbon resources in the waters around the divided island must meet both sides.
