Police Directorate Director in Istanbul's Silivri district Hakan Caliskan was found dead in his office at the police administration building.
Istanbul Police Chief Hakan Caliskan was found dead in his office in the police administration building, reports Anadolu Agency (AA).
Caliskan's body was found by police employees early this morning, with head injuries allegedly caused by the shooting.
Investigations into the case are under way.
