Tens of forest fires in Bosnia, Croatia, Montenegro

Several dozen forest fires today are raging in parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Montenegro. As Bosnia and Herzegovina's civil protection service explained, during the last 24 hours on the country's territory 23 fires have been recorded, of which mainly the surfaces of grass and bushes are involved.
The biggest fire is raging on Mount Ceversnica in the western part of BiH, which is spreading toward the city of Jablanica. In their encounter with fire, local authorities demanded that helicopters be involved.
Some fires are also raging in the central parts of BiH as well as in the region of Mostar.
Bosnian media report that for now it is hard to determine the volume of fire and damage caused by material, due to heavy smoke in the areas involved with fire.
Major fire in the morning is also raging south of Croatia near the Adriatic coast, which on Croatian territory has spread from Montenegro.
The joint action of Croatian and Montenegrin fire-control services, including aircraft, follows.
In the territories of Croatia and Montenegro in recent days, there have been many fires caused by high temperatures and dry weather.
The two countries' authorities warned that new fires are possible over the next weekend, pending the rise of the new heat wave and high temperatures.
