The United States of America, a country which was founded mainly by mass immigration, comes to seventh place.
U.S. News and World Report to create this list had taken on the basis of such measures as economic stability, income equality and labour markets, using a special study of the opinions of more than 21,000 business leaders and other elites, as well as members of the public.
Sweden had become a popular destination for refugees from Africa and the Middle East in recent years, taking more immigrants than any other European nation at the peak of the influx of immigrants in 2015, records albinfo.ch.
Sweden was not the only country to welcome immigrants; Norway, Finland and Denmark are also in the top 10 ranking positions, mainly due to favourable perceptions found in the study on their economies and dedication to income equality.
