The Special Today Ready for Execution

The Specialised Prosecutor's Office, David Schwendiman, from today may begin with the establishment of charges against former KLA members. Since 7 days ago (28 June), the Specialised Chamber of the Constitutional Court declared a positive decision on the rewritten rules of the Special Court's Procedure and Evidence Rules. In this case it became known that these rules are in full compliance with the Kosovo Constitution, writes “Zeri”. 

Kosovo's Specialised Chambers Speaker Ekaterina Trendafilova had indicated that with the regulation's entry into force in question, after a week (from today) there will be no legal obstacle to the establishment of any indictment.

However, legal and constitutional affairs experts in Kosovo consider that special work can drag on, as it has dragged on so far. And although they consider that the Special Court will affect even the highest state officials, they say there will be nothing spectacular about the entire process.
