US reagon condemns Putin's request to remove 755 diplomats

“We are assessing the impact of such a restriction and how we will respond to it”, says the US Department of State's statement last night.
Mr. Putin's request for the United States to reduce the number of personnel in Russia was made in the period of the collapse over new sanctions adopted by the United States Congress against Moscow.
During an interview yesterday on Russian state television, Putin said that more than a thousand American diplomats and “backlog” currently work in Russia and “755 people must stop their activity”.
