Qatar decided to change anti-terror laws, following the insistence of a series of Gulf states and US mediation. Qatar's Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani signed a decree under which two national lists -- one with individuals assigned and the other with terrorist entities -- will be created. Suspects have the right to complain if they are included in one of the lists. The decree defines the terms <x0 terrorist “”, “terrorist crime and terrorist unit”, as well as “the financing of terrorism”.
A short time ago The US signed with Qatar an agreement on fighting terror, where at the centre it is the disappearance of financial sources of terrorism. On the other hand, Qatar Saudi Arabia rivals Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Egypt had criticised the agreement between Washington and Doha as insufficient and decided in early June trade and diplomatic sanctions.
The four countries above presented Qatar with a list of 13 requests, among other things, the closure of the Al Jazeera television station, which Qatar rejected. State Secretary Rex Tillerson's visit, after four days of intensive meetings with senior officials, gave no comment on his visit.
