Moscow's Military Court has sentenced Zaur Dadayev to 20 years in prison after finding him guilty of killing Russian politician Bors Nemtsov, Vladimir Putin's great opponent, in February 2015
The defence attorney, Zaurbek Sadakhanov, has called the verdict unfair and has said he will challenge it in appeal.
“Burgimi will be held in a high-security prison”, Judge Yuri Juitnikov said.
Four more people have also been sentenced from 11 to 20 years in prison, Sputnik writes.
Nemtsov's murder has always been viewed as suspicion.
Because of his strong opposition, there are rumours that he was killed by Russian agents and then the murder you find Chechen groups taking off the lead.
Many who killed him have linked President Vladimir Putin and his desire to eliminate Nemtsov and thus silence the only remaining opposition voice in Russia at the time.
