Russian President Vladimir Putin criticised today, a day before the G20 summit in Hamburg, trade protectionism and Western economic sanctions against Russia.
“Sanctions decreed against Moscow by Americans and Europeans in the background of the Ukrainian crisis, not only are they without perspective but conflict with G20 principles for a co-operation in the interest of all countries of the world”, writes the Russian president in an article published in the German economic weekly”Handelsblat”.
“Protenctionism is developed under a firm line and unilateral sanctions imposed on political causes for investment, trade and especially technology transfer is done in a hidden form”, Vladimir Putin criticises.
At the end of June, the EU has extended the six-month sanctions against Russia until 31 January 2018, despite advancing implementation of Minsk's agreements before the possibility of a ceasefire and a political dialogue between the rebels and the Ukrainian government.
