The Pakistani Army has launched an operation against the so-called Islamic State, I SIS, in the northern western region along the Afghan border.
A spokesman has indicated they have also received support from the Air Force, and are focusing on mountainous areas, the BBC writes.
Pakistan earlier denied the presence of I SIS on their territory, meanwhile, have already shown that they are trying to stop enlargement and its impact.
ISIS controls parts of Afghanistan and has sought to strengthen its presence even in Pakistan since 2015, when it carried out its first attack in the country.
