Painful: Doctors remove part of his skull after his accident

Kid Kiernan Roberts, 16, was hit by a drunk guy driving it, writes Metro.co.uk, broadcast Periscope.

The victim's mother, Marie Roberts, has shown that the person who struck her son has been sentenced to prison for three years. Some photos his mother published showing Kiernan fighting for life in the hospital after the accident, in which the driver who hit him fled the scene and was then arrested by the police.

Mrs Roberts said “As a family we have discussed publishing Kiernan's photos, he's agreed with this thing and he chose which photos to publish”.

Keernan remained severely injured on his neck and head, and according to doctors, his chances for life were 20%, but 40% did not.

In order to survive, doctors had to remove much of the boy's skull, and he ended up in a coma. After the operation the young man suffered from Amnesia and did not know his family. /Periscopi/
