President Donald Trump's son Donald Trump Jr, agreed to meet with a lawyer associated with the Kremlin during the 2016 campaign after receiving promises of information that would harm Hillary Clinton, the New York Times reported on Sunday, citing three advisers at the White House.
Even Trump's campaign chairman Paul Manafort and his son-in-law Jared Kouchner were part of the meeting. The Times quoted a statement by Donald Trump Jr, in which he agreed to meet Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya.
After heartfelt congratulations, the woman declared there was information that individuals related to Russia were funding the National Democrat Committee and the support of Mrs. Clinton,” quoted the New York Times as saying Donald Trump Jr.
