Montenegro's Army will not wage war against Serbs, nor against Albanians, Montenegrin Defence Minister Predgrag Boskovic has said.
He says Montenegro will only engage soldiers in the context of promotion, preservation and strengthening of regional and global peace and security, reports B92, broadcast Indexline.
He said in an interview for the Mines agency that his latest statement has been taken out of context, very evilly by media specifics with outdated policies and disagreeing with the fact that Montenegro is an independent state.
He has said that Montenegro does not want war against Serbs or Albanians, and that it will only engage in the preservation and strengthening of regional and global peace and security.
In an interview for the Mines Agency, he has added that his latest statement was issued from the context, and has been maliciously interpreted by certain media.
NATO membership for Montenegro means that it has become part of a system where the values of a democratic society are inherited. One of these values is promoting and maintaining peace and stability in the region”, Boskovic said.
Montenegro's “troops will not wage war either against Serbs or against Kosovo, they will only be committed to preserving Kosovo's peace and security or any other state”, Kosovo's neighbouring foreign minister added.
