Named for prime minister by the coalition of 12 political subjects, which led the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, and Initiative for Kosovo, known as the coalition PAN, Ramush Haradinaj, has already secured the necessary number of deputies who will vote on the creation of his new government, PAN coalition representatives say.
Pal Lekaj, deputy chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, tells Radio Free Europe, that Haradinaj has not been avoiding agreements with other political subjects for creating a ruling coalition, referring to the Vetevendosje Movement and coalition leading the Democratic League of Kosovo, but, according to him, has not reached agreement with them.
So far, unfortunately, those who have been called every time to strengthen the state, that they are for the good of the state and citizens, have boycotted PAN in some form. In that direction, there is no Mr. Haradinaj left but agreements with MPs who are autonomous and who think otherwise and for the good of the country. Based on what I am informed by Mr. Haradinaj, the numbers are safe and the government will be formed in the coming days”, Lekaj says.
Kosovo Democratic Institute Director Ismet Kryeziu, in a conversation with Radio Free Europe, points out from objections by the Vetevendosje Movement and the Democratic League of Kosovo to join Haradinaj and the coalition PAN for the establishment of the new government makes the process of creating a government with a broad base of political spectrum complicated.
He (Haradinaj) confirms, to the public, that he has sufficient numbers for institution creation, but is trying to ensure a government formation, with a broader basis of the political spectrum, which is normally a complicated process”, Kryeziu says.
On the other hand, the leader of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, in an interview for Radio Free Europe, has called the government “, which remains hostage to two, three or four deputies or hostage to the 10 deputies of the Serbian List”.
“We are able to talk to the AAK, but when they are not in coalition with PDK”, Mustafa has said.
But, Lekaj has dismissed the possibility that the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, whose leader is Mr. Haradinaj, will withdraw from the coalition with the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
“Aleance has shown willingness to communicate and co-operate with other subjects, but in no way will it withdraw from the pre-election coalition in this case from the PDK and the initiative to offer to someone else, because then it is unserious and we would go outside the frameworks of the agreement. Mr Haradinaj is appreciated in Kosovo for his word on promises. Therefore, in this direction, it has not been discussed, nor will it be discussed that we leave PAN's”, Lekaj points out.
nominated for prime minister by coalition PAN, Haradinaj, has stated that during the next week the Kosovo Assembly is expected to be introduced and that within a few days the new Kosovo government will be formed.
