We remember that the former commander of The KLA, Sami Lushtaku, has been released from custody following the complaint that has come to remove this move from his defence. He, along with Sylejman Selimi and members of the Kosovo Credit Army, were being accused of war crimes.
Lushtaku was charged with killing a civilian during the recent Kosovo war, for which he was sentenced to 12 years in prison in 2015. The Court of Appeals had later acquitted him of killing the civilian, condemning him to seven years in prison for hierarchical responsibility.
The last session for handling this case was held on June 20, where it was said that the decision would be made about half of July.
