The Kosovo student team has been presented very well this year at the International Math Olympics, returning with a bronze medal and two medals of honour.
The competition considered the World Math Champions for high school students in which nearly all the countries of the world participated took place in Brazil.
The news of medals revealed in a Facebook post, Kosovo team supporter and mathematics researcher at Pristina University Valmir Krasniqi.
“Senser Shend Zjeqi brought Kosovo a very important medal, the bronze medal from the International Mathematical Olympiad”, Krasniqi wrote.
He indicated that Dzjeqi almost did not win the silver medal, as far from this medal she remained for just one point.
According to Krasniqi, this year's result is the best ever achieved for Kosovo at the International Math Olympics.
“Although the Kosovo team was with a less member, the result achieved this year is the best since Kosovo participates in the IMO”, Krasniqi wrote.
Honorary medals also won Ardita Berisha and Victor Ahmeti, while Alban Elezi and the Sabani team also held.
Jusuf Thaci, project leader Atom, had complained earlier that participation in the math Olympics is not being backed by institutions.
Unlike success in Olympics, Kosovo students got very bad on Test P ISA, whose results were published last year
