Kosovo risks being left without coal in a short deadline, because coal reserves in the village of Shipilu in Obilic are nearing completion.
KEC has called for intervention on the issue, while severe response to the issue has prompted the new KEKA union.
As a result of the failure to expropriate land and property in the village of Shiptule, Obiliki, since 2016 the work of coal mining has been cut off.
And that is already sending to an alarming phase the amount of coal reserves, which may soon end and Kosovo will be without coal.
KEK's Media Office has told television through electronic response that reserves are in danger and that KEK has asked for help from all relevant factors but that no one has interviewed, even though they are partly at fault for the situation and put illegal activities in place.
