About 25,000 radicalised Islamists are currently on Swedish territory, ten times as much as in 2010, but only a small number of them allegedly could commit violent acts, the Swedish secret service chief reported today.
In 33,000 extremists who are supporters of violent acts recorded by the Scandinavian country's (SAPO) secret police, 2,000 belong to the Islamic movement.
In 2010, SAPO estimated that the number of radical Islamists in Sweden was 200, adds Atish.
According to the secret services, however, only a few radical Islamists living in Sweden are simultaneously intent and capable of preparing a terrorist attack.
