Three hours waiting to cross the border in Merdare

Up to three hours are waiting for fellow countrymen to cross the Serbia-Kosovo border at the Merdare Border Cross Point, the Indexline reports.

The motorcade at this border point is 500m long and that expectations are extremely long.

We've been waiting a long time at the border. The passport control is moving very slowly. We're with kids in the car and we're really getting tired of waiting for”, one of our fellow countrymen said about Indexline.

It has a request to police authority to speed up border procedures and citizens to enable the fastest crossing of the border.

Indexline has received information from the National Border Management Centre that unlike the border checkpoint in Merdare, the situation at other points is better.

The column is up to 120m long, but at this point three lanes have been opened, and citizens wait no more than 30 minutes to enter Kosovo.

The white soil column is 15 meters like the Han of Elez. While in Mutioda and other border points totaling 12 there are no convoys of vehicles at all.
