Harvesting Ends, Lower Products Compared to Last Year

In the municipality of Mitrovica this year, it is estimated that there have been a total of 1,190 acres of wheat cultivated, while harvests started on July 7th and have ended on July 27th.

The director of the Directorate for Agriculture and Rural Development, Nasuf Aliu, tells of the North.info that the hectare's productivity was 2,700kg less than last year.

The harvesting process, despite some minor problems, has been carried out just as it was designed and planned by the Directorate for Agriculture and MBPHR. As problems have been presented, the small number of autocontains at first, the selection of more suitable terrain from autocontainers and at the end of harvesting, as well as the unwillingness of autocontainers to harvest some hill surfaces.

Director Aliu announced that productivity in wheat culture has been lower, compared to last year because of the more inadequate agroclimistic conditions compared with last year, the planting phase that has had great moisture and the plant's development phase, where favorable conditions have reigned.
