Iraqi Army forces have captured a 16-year-old German who had abandoned school to join the Islamic State fighters.
She was caught in the ruins of Mosul.
Linda W, from Pulsitz City near Dresden, escaped a year ago from Frankfurt to Syria.
Later she ended up in Mosul.
Radicalized since Germany, she changed her name to Miriam and sometimes posted photos in FB with headscarves.
Authorities in Germany have listed it as potential terrorist suspects.
According to authorities, it has already been confirmed that the captured girl is Linda W.
She was caught in a tunnel system in Mosul, along with several other women and girls, some with suicide vests in her body and automatic weapons.
Media say the girl worked for the Islamic State police.
Her mother said her daughter was brainwashed.
