A frightening ordeal has been experienced by passengers from a company of “British Airways”, with a destination from London to the Greek island of Skiathos.

The event, which was published for security reasons only 24 hours later by the local newspaper “Tachidromos”, occurred at noon Monday, just before its landing at the island airport in the center of the bad weather zone, when a lightning hit the plane with 45 passengers.

By lighting and noise at the moment of shock they and the crew have realized that the plane was struck by lightning.

In cold blood, the pilot has begun to analyze all aircraft systems whether or not it functioned, and after communicating with the control tower, he has decided not to land at the island airport but at the Athens airport.

A few moments later, and after warning passengers of the event and the change of destination, the plane has landed smoothly at Greece's capital's <x0th>Elefterios Venizelos” airport broadcasts tch.
